Door Accident Shatters Chelsea Star Palmer’s Finger: Out for Three Matches

Chelsea have suffered another setback as midfielder Cole Palmer has been sidelined due to an unusual home accident. The talented English midfielder reportedly fractured his left toe after hitting a door at home.

Palmer had recently returned to training after a two-month layoff with an ankle injury. However, the unfortunate home incident means he will miss the next three crucial matches: Premier League clash with Burnley, Champions League tie against Barcelona, and the London derby against Arsenal.

Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca confirmed, “Palmer will not be available against Burnley, Barcelona, or Arsenal. Unfortunately, he sustained a fracture in his toe due to a domestic accident. He will be out for at least a week.”

There is optimism that Palmer may return in Chelsea colours by 3rd December, but Maresca added, “I don’t know exactly when he will return.”

Last season, Palmer was a key figure in Chelsea’s midfield, contributing both defensively and offensively. His absence is expected to create a gap in midfield balance, particularly in high-stakes fixtures such as the London derby against Arsenal.

This injury is a blow to Chelsea’s squad depth. While Palmer had just returned to training this week, the door accident means the Blues must adjust their midfield strategies. The team will need to rely on other midfielders to maintain stability in both domestic and European competitions, making the upcoming matches even more challenging.
