Anshul Kamboj’s Super Over Carnage Stuns Punjab — Haryana Win in One Ball!

Hyderabad witnessed one of the most thrilling finishes in Indian domestic T20 history as Haryana edged out Punjab in a gripping Super Over after both teams tied on 207 runs. But the night belonged entirely to Anshul Kamboj, whose fearless bowling destroyed Punjab’s chances even before the Super Over truly began.

Punjab batted first in the Super Over, but their fate was sealed almost instantly. On the very first ball, Abhishek Sharma fell for a golden duck. The next delivery sent Sanvir Singh back as well—another golden duck. With two wickets down in just two balls, Punjab limped to 1/2. The crowd watched in disbelief as Kamboj produced one of the most ruthless displays ever seen in a Super Over.

Haryana needed just two runs, and Nishant Sindhu smashed the very first ball for four—ending the contest in style.

Earlier in the match, Haryana built their massive total through the brilliance of Ankit Kumar (51 off 26) and the explosive Nishant Sindhu (61 off 31). With Sumit Kumar adding a late 28, the side reached 207. Punjab’s Ashwani Kumar bowled well, finishing with 3 for 31.

Punjab’s run chase, however, was a rollercoaster. Abhishek Sharma fell early for 6, and Prabhsimran Singh followed soon after for 20—both victims of Kamboj’s sharp bowling (2 for 26). From 26 for 2, Punjab came roaring back thanks to Anmolpreet Singh’s sensational 81 off 37 balls, one of the best knocks of the tournament. Sanvir Singh supported him with a fiery 30 off 16 balls, ensuring Punjab levelled the scores.

But when the lights shone brightest, it was Kamboj who stood tallest.
