Argentina Announces Final 21-Man Squad for the World Cup

The FIFA U-17 World Cup will be held in Qatar from November 3 to 27. For the tournament, Argentina’s U-17 head coach Diego Placente has announced the final 21-man squad, which includes two young players currently playing in Europe.

Among the standout players are Real Madrid goalkeeper Jose Castellaú and Borussia Mönchengladbach forward Can Armando Gunar. Although Gunar was born in Germany, he will represent Argentina due to his mother’s nationality.

Several squad members have experience playing in Argentina’s professional league, including strikers Thomas De Martis, Gomez Matter, and Gaston Buheir. Additionally, Matias Satas was recently listed among the world’s top 60 young talents. However, three highly talked-about players — Juan Cruz Meza and Alex Verono — did not make the final squad.

Argentina is drawn in Group D, where their opponents will be Belgium, Fiji, and Tunisia.
