The 24th Asian Archery Championship will be held in Dhaka from 8 to 14 November, taking place at two venues — the National Stadium (8–12 November) and the Army Stadium (13–14 November).
Speaking about the tournament, Bangladesh’s head coach Martin Friedrich said, “It is a great honour for us that the Asian Archery Federation has placed its trust in Bangladesh to host such a prestigious event. With that honour comes great responsibility. We are determined to perform well on our home ground and are looking forward to the challenge with enthusiasm.”
He further added, “You may remember that when the Asian Archery Championship was held here in 2021, we won three medals. However, in the 2023 edition in Bangkok, we failed to secure any. My hope is to replicate the success we achieved in 2021 and go even further this time.”
Assistant coach Nure Alam echoed a similar sentiment, saying, “Our training camp runs throughout the year. Only in exceptional cases, such as exams or personal emergencies, do we allow short breaks. Because the athletes spend most of their time in camp, their preparation is strong. Even our new archers are reaching world-class levels. I firmly believe we will perform well this year.”
This marks the third time Dhaka will host this prestigious continental event, following successful editions in 2017 and 2021. The Bangladesh Archery Federation has expressed confidence that the 2025 championship will further solidify the nation’s growing reputation in the sport of archery.
