DHAKA, 12 March 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP) secured their second consecutive victory in the BRAC Bank Development Cup Women’s Hockey, delivering a crushing 16-0 defeat to Cumilla district at the Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium in the capital today.
BKSP had previously overwhelmed Kishoreganj district with a resounding 15-0 victory in their tournament opener on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, in the opening fixture of the day, Jhenaidah district also secured their second win in the competition by edging past Kishoreganj district with a narrow 3-2 triumph. Earlier, Jhenaidah had comfortably dispatched Cumilla district with a commanding 15-0 victory in their first match.
Organised by the Bangladesh Hockey Federation, a total of eleven teams—comprising ten district teams and Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP)—are competing in the tournament. The teams have been divided into two groups as follows:
Group A: Dinajpur district, Jashore district, Chattogram district, Patuakhali district, Rajshahi district.
Group B: BKSP, Jhenaidah district, Thakurgaon district, Rangpur district, Cumilla district, Kishoreganj district.
