Alongside his stake in the club, he will also register as a player for a six-month spell, after which he intends to purchase the remaining 50 per cent and assume full control. The team already includes three Brazilian players, including former Palmeiras winger Washington.

For context, Alves last appeared on the field in January 2023, playing for Pumas in Mexico’s Liga MX. Following his arrest on the sexual harassment allegations, his contract with the club was promptly terminated. Now, through his own club, Alves aims to return to competitive football on his own terms, blending the roles of player and owner.
