The curtain has officially been raised on the Honda Futsal League (HFL) 2025, an ambitious and youth-centric football initiative organised by Bangladesh Honda Private Limited (BHL). The grand opening ceremony took place yesterday at the Carnival Hall of the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre (BCFCC), drawing significant attention from football enthusiasts, corporate partners, and aspiring young players.
The evening’s biggest highlight was the presence of Bangladesh national football team captain Jamal Bhuiyan, who attended as the chief guest. His arrival immediately electrified the atmosphere, but an even bigger surprise awaited him on stage. In a symbolic and emotional moment, representatives of Moto Honda da Amazônia Limited presented Jamal with a Brazil national team jersey signed by Neymar Jr.
This rare memorabilia was formally handed over by Mr Susumu Morisawa, Managing Director and CEO of Bangladesh Honda Private Limited, along with Chief Marketing Officer Mr Shah Mohammad Ashiqur Rahman.
The audience erupted in applause as Jamal accepted the jersey, expressing his gratitude and describing it as one of the most memorable recognitions of his career. The organisers called it a gesture honouring Jamal’s leadership and long-standing contribution to Bangladeshi football.

⭐ Built Around Honda’s Global Sports Philosophy
This year’s edition has been designed around the three core pillars of the Honda Sports Challenge:
Joy – Enjoying Challenges
Growth – Growing Through Challenges
Connected – Connecting Through Challenges
These themes were woven into every part of the event—from stage design and music to the motivational speeches delivered by the organisers. Their message was clear: sport is not merely competition, but a journey of development, unity, and courage.
The organisers emphasised that encouraging young people to participate in sports, particularly football, is central to their mission. They believe that grassroots initiatives like the HFL can ignite long-lasting enthusiasm and shape a new generation of skilled players.
With a star-studded launch, corporate backing, and a grand vision, the Honda Futsal League 2025 is all set to become one of the year’s most exciting sporting events in Bangladesh.
