“PSU football fans’ fresh spring look”

Penn State University has confirmed that its Nittany Lion football programme will host a Blue-White Weekend on Saturday, 25 April, the team announced via X on Monday afternoon. The event marks a return of on-field spring activities for the programme, following assurances earlier this month from head coach Matt Campbell that fans would indeed see football action this spring.

While specific details of the weekend’s schedule remain under wraps, Blue-White Weekends traditionally feature intra-squad scrimmages, autograph sessions, and opportunities for fans to meet coaches and players, offering a first glimpse of the team’s preparations for the upcoming season. The announcement has generated excitement among Penn State supporters eager to see the Nittany Lions in action outside the regular season.

New Coaching Appointment

In tandem with the spring event, Penn State has made a key addition to its coaching staff. Kashif Moore, formerly of Colorado State University, has been appointed as the new wide receivers coach for the Nittany Lions, according to multiple reports.

Moore’s tenure at Colorado State was brief; he joined the Rams in December as their pass game specialist and wide receivers coach but departed before coaching a single game. Prior to that, he spent three seasons at UConn, serving as the Huskies’ receivers coach. His earlier coaching experience also includes one-season stints at Albany and Cornell at the FCS level, and at Wesleyan University, a Division III programme.

A former receiver himself, Moore played at UConn from 2008 to 2011. His professional career included time in the National Football League with the Cincinnati Bengals, Indianapolis Colts, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Kansas City Chiefs. Moore’s combination of playing and coaching experience across multiple levels is expected to bring fresh insight and technical expertise to Penn State’s receiving corps.
