T20 World Cup 2026: When and Where Bangladesh Will Play

The stage is set for Bangladesh as the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 approaches. With the tournament returning to the cricket-mad nations of India and Sri Lanka, anticipation is already building. Bangladesh have found themselves in a demanding Group C, where powerhouses England and the West Indies await, joined by spirited Nepal and first-time participants Italy.

The ICC revealed the complete fixture list yesterday, with predictable drama surrounding the placement of India and Pakistan in the same group. Their Group A bracket also includes the United States, Namibia and the Netherlands, promising a mixture of established and emerging cricketing identities.

Bangladesh begin their journey on the very first day of the competition, 7 February, at Kolkata’s historic Eden Gardens against the West Indies. The same venue will host their next two matches—against Italy two days later, followed by a potentially decisive clash with England on 14 February. Bangladesh will then fly to Mumbai for their concluding group match against Nepal on 17 February, an encounter expected to test their composure in pressure conditions.

Only the top two sides from each group will earn a place in the Super Eight stage. From there, every team will contest three further matches to determine the four semi-finalists. The semi-finals are locked in for 4 and 5 March, while the grand finale is scheduled for 8 March. Interestingly, the location of the final hinges on Pakistan’s qualification: Colombo if they reach the final, Ahmedabad if they do not.

Bangladesh’s group-stage fixtures are as follows:

  • 7 February – vs West Indies, Kolkata, 3:30 pm
  • 9 February – vs Italy, Kolkata, 11:30 am
  • 14 February – vs England, Kolkata, 3:30 pm
  • 17 February – vs Nepal, Mumbai, 7:30 pm
