Bangladesh women’s national football team have begun their preparation for the upcoming SAFF Women’s Championship with a 2–0 victory over Thai club Kasem Bundit in a friendly match held in Bangkok.

The match was played behind closed doors. Bangladesh took an early lead in the 15th minute when Anika Rania Siddique scored the opening goal. The visitors maintained their advantage going into half-time, leading 1–0 after a disciplined first-half performance.

In the second half, Bangladesh continued to control proceedings. Their organised play and sustained pressure eventually resulted in a second goal in the 77th minute, scored by Umhela Marma, extending the lead to 2–0. The scoreline remained unchanged until the final whistle.

The friendly forms part of Bangladesh’s preparations for the SAFF Women’s Championship, scheduled to begin on 25 May in Goa, India. As part of their build-up, the team travelled to Bangkok on 7 May for a 15-day training camp, which includes two warm-up matches.
