According to reports from Brazilian sports outlet ge Globo, frustration over Neymar’s conduct has been growing among members of the coaching staff, club executives and some teammates. The report claims that managing the 34-year-old on a daily basis has become increasingly difficult and that certain actions perceived as self-centred have caused dissatisfaction inside the club.
Questions over Neymar’s leadership reportedly intensified following an altercation with Robinho Júnior during a training session in May. While details of the incident have not been officially confirmed by Santos, the episode is said to have fuelled concerns about the atmosphere within the squad.
Off-the-field controversies have only added to the pressure. During Santos’ trip to Venezuela for a Copa Sudamericana fixture, Neymar was seen attending a poker tournament in São Paulo, prompting criticism from sections of the Brazilian media and supporters.
