For the past few months, Lamine Yamal has been making more headlines for his off-field affairs than his performances on the pitch. Since June, the Barcelona winger’s name has been linked with several women.
However, reports claim that Yamal had only been in a serious relationship with one person — Argentine singer and rapper Nicki Nicole. According to recent reports in the Spanish media, their relationship ended after just three months. Injuries, inconsistency, controversy, and now personal struggles — the young Barcelona star seems to be stumbling in every aspect of life.
Some outlets have suggested that Nicki Nicole ended the relationship after discovering Yamal’s alleged infidelity. It was reported that the 18-year-old footballer was seen in an intimate setting with 20-year-old Italian model Anna Gaggnos at a party in Milan. Upon learning of the incident, Nicole is said to have broken up with him.
However, Yamal has firmly denied all such allegations and clarified his position. Appearing on Spanish journalist Javi Hoyos’s programme, the teenage sensation stated that all the stories about him are completely baseless.
Yamal said, “We (Nicki and I) are no longer together, but it’s not because of any betrayal. We simply decided to go our separate ways — that’s all. None of what’s being said is true. I didn’t cheat on anyone, nor was I with anyone else.”
Yamal insisted that the reports about infidelity are nothing more than fabricated rumours spread by certain media outlets.
Nicki Nicole, too, dismissed all the gossip through her social media. She stated, “If someone had betrayed me, I would have been the first to tell everyone. I’ve done that before.”
The 25-year-old Argentine artist cited her previous breakup with Mexican singer Peso Pluma as an example. Last year, she separated from Pluma after discovering his infidelity.
However, according to Nicole, her breakup with Yamal happened through mutual agreement, without any betrayal involved. “We had already separated; we just hadn’t announced it,” she clarified.
After clarifying his stance on his personal life, Yamal now wishes to focus entirely on football.
Last night, in La Liga, Yamal scored the opening goal in Barcelona’s 3–1 win over Elche. In the 2025–26 season so far, the winger has netted four goals and provided five assists in nine appearances for the club.
