Malan on Ireland’s Ambitions Across Formats

Ireland’s Test team keeps an honours board in the dressing room, a symbolic reminder of players’ hard work. Though their journey in Tests is short, their ambition spans both red- and white-ball cricket.

Head coach Heinrich Malan told Cricbuzz, “The honours board shows we can perform on the world stage. It also reminds us of the hard work of players before us. Adding our names ensures team growth and legacy.”

Malan emphasised the importance of red-ball cricket. “If you learn your trade in the red-ball space, you can adapt to white-ball cricket. Many of our young players are entering international cricket through this foundation.”
