Raphinha Fires Barcelona to Seven-Game Unbeaten Run

Barcelona showcased their dominance in La Liga with a commanding 2-0 victory against Osasuna at Camp Nou on Saturday evening. Hansi Flick’s side struggled to find the net in the opening 45 minutes, but Brazilian winger Raphinha ultimately delivered a double strike in the second half to secure a crucial win.

During the first half, Barcelona relentlessly attacked but failed to capitalise on their chances. Ferran Torres saw a goal ruled out by VAR in the 23rd minute, while Lamin Yamal’s assist in the 40th minute failed to result in a finish. Eric García’s long-range attempt also missed the mark, and Yamal’s efforts in added time proved fruitless.

Osasuna tested Barcelona early in the second half through a free-kick taken by Marcus Rashford, which was superbly saved by goalkeeper Sergio Herrera. However, it was Raphinha who eventually opened the scoring in the 70th minute, following a brilliant run from Pedri who delivered an immaculate pass for a composed finish.

The win was wrapped up in the 86th minute when a Jules Koundé cross deflected off an Osasuna defender to Raphinha, who had the simplest of tasks to double his tally. This brace secured Barcelona’s victory and extended their unbeaten run to seven matches in La Liga.

With this result, Barcelona remain top of the league with 43 points from 17 games, leaving Real Madrid six points behind with 36 points from 16 matches. Osasuna stay near the bottom with just 15 points from 16 games, highlighting the gap between the sides.

Raphinha’s performance is yet another indication of Barcelona’s lethal attacking prowess, and Hansi Flick’s side look poised to maintain their stronghold at the summit of Spanish football.
