Jaker Ali Replaces Sohan as Bangladesh to Bowl First Against West Indies

In the second T20 International at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Wednesday, West Indies captain Shai Hope won the toss and chose to bat first against Bangladesh. Having lost the opening match of the three-match series, Bangladesh are keen to bounce back and keep their series hopes alive.

Team Changes and Strategy

Bangladesh made one change to their playing XI, bringing in wicketkeeper-batter Jaker Ali Anik in place of Nurul Hasan Sohan. The team has opted for a three-pronged pace attack with Taskin Ahmed, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, and Mustafizur Rahman, while spin responsibilities are shared between Rishad Hossain and Nasum Ahmed.

West Indies, on the other hand, have retained the same XI that secured victory in the first match, showing confidence in their winning combination.

“We aim to make the most of our conditions and put pressure on the West Indies batsmen early,” Bangladesh captain Liton Das said before the start of play.
