Bangladesh is celebrating the silver jubilee of its Test cricket journey. Today marks 25 years since the country played its inaugural Test match on 10 November 2000. On this special occasion, the Bangladesh Cricket Museum has unveiled a commemorative book titled ‘Memorable Match Tickets’.
The book features 50 historic match tickets selected from the personal collection of cricket memorabilia collector Junayed Paikar. It captures the emotions, memories, and pride of Bangladesh’s 25-year journey in Test cricket. In addition, the book takes readers on a nostalgic journey through the country’s cricketing milestones and unforgettable matches.
In a message of congratulations, BCB President Aminul Islam said, “I sincerely thank Junayed Paikar and the Bangladesh Cricket Museum for this remarkable initiative to publish ‘Memorable Match Tickets’. These rare ticket mementos wonderfully highlight the legacy of our Test cricket. Each ticket tells a story—a story of moments, milestones, and emotions that have shaped our cricketing identity.”
Junayed Paikar, the compiler of the book, added, “These tickets are more than mere souvenirs; they are symbols of our cricketing journey and progress. This book is my tribute to the memories and emotions that collectively define Bangladesh’s cricketing identity.”
