Concerns arose during Spain’s gruelling semi-final victory over France, where Yamal sustained a knock to his leg. The incident occurred in the 22nd minute during a fierce battle for possession with French defender Lucas Digne, just moments before a penalty incident. Although the young winger managed to grit his teeth and complete the full ninety minutes, his subsequent absence from full squad training sessions triggered widespread anxiety amongst Spanish supporters.
