Kuba Mitchell’s time at Kings has come to an abrupt and controversial end, with the Bangladeshi footballer announcing the termination of his contract due to prolonged wage arrears. “Bangladeshi football deserves more,” he stated. “Players need a fair system, proper organisation, and respect for professional commitments.”

Despite the difficult circumstances, Mitchell was careful to strike a balanced and respectful tone. He acknowledged that, although his stay at Kings was brief, it held significance in his personal and professional journey. During his time in Bangladesh, he immersed himself in the local culture, adapted to a new way of life, and built meaningful connections.

“I met some incredible teammates and passionate supporters,” he wrote. “They welcomed me wholeheartedly and reminded me why I fell in love with this game in the first place.”

Mitchell also emphasised that he maintained professionalism throughout his tenure, consistently honouring the club’s jersey and responsibilities. Importantly, he called on fellow players not to suffer in silence when faced with unpaid wages or broken promises, stressing the need for collective awareness and accountability.
