Myles Rowe produced one of the most remarkable performances in Indy NXT history at World Wide Technology Raceway, storming from last on the grid to victory in a drive that underlined both his racecraft and resilience.
A qualifying communication error left the Abel Motorsports with Force Indy driver stranded at the back of the 24-car field in the #99 machine. Rather than derail his weekend, the setback became the catalyst for a relentless recovery drive. Rowe led a race-high 29 of 75 laps and ultimately secured his third career win, doing so in emphatic style by gaining more positions than any driver has ever managed in a single Indy NXT race.
The Georgian’s victory immediately reignited discussion about his credentials for IndyCar promotion, particularly given the composure he displayed while threading through traffic on the demanding 1.25-mile oval.

Rowe was forthright afterwards about what the result represented.
“It’s a good feeling to achieve that — most passes, coming from the back in general,” he said. “I think it’s clear I have the skill to run in the IndyCar Series. Hopefully teams see this performance. That’s why we’re all here. I just need to keep doing my job.”
His season had begun unevenly, with two finishes outside the top 23 in the opening six rounds leaving him with an unremarkable average result. But a clear turning point arrived in Detroit, where he charged from 11th to second on a street circuit that demanded precision and patience. That momentum carried into World Wide Technology Raceway, where he capitalised fully on a cleaner, more controlled execution.
“Coming into the race, everything had changed after qualifying,” Rowe explained. “It was hard not to run through every scenario overnight — how the start would go, how the stints would play out, whether I’d be stuck or able to move forward.”
He also pointed to lessons drawn from practice, particularly in exploiting the higher line through traffic. “If I committed to what I’d found and stayed determined, I felt everything would open up in the race,” he said.
That confidence was evident right to the chequered flag. Even with victory secured, Rowe continued pushing to the limit, setting the fastest lap of the race on the final tour in pursuit of an additional championship point.
“I just wanted the fastest lap,” he added. “Everything was under control, but I wanted that extra point.”
With renewed form and growing consistency, Rowe has climbed to fifth in the standings, firmly re-establishing himself as a contender in the title fight and one of the most closely watched prospects in the Indy NXT paddock.
