In a statement responding to the ruling, Leicester described the punishment as “disproportionate,” arguing that the mitigating factors they had presented had not been given sufficient weight. The club added: “We remain committed to engaging constructively and ensuring that any action is fair, proportionate and determined through the appropriate processes.”
On the pitch, Leicester are currently without a permanent manager following the departure of Marti Cifuentes last month. The team has also failed to secure a victory in its last four Championship fixtures, compounding concerns about their survival prospects.
