Daly Confirmed For 2026 Indy 500 Entry

American driver Conor Daly has been officially confirmed for the 110th running of the Indianapolis 500, as he prepares to compete in the historic race with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing.

The team announced that the 34-year-old will pilot the No. 23 Chevrolet-powered car at the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway on 24 May 2026. The entry will be supported by title partner Kingspan, a global manufacturer of high-performance building materials.

For Daly, an Indiana native, the opportunity to race again at the famous speedway carries deep personal meaning. The upcoming race will mark his 13th start in “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing”, a milestone that highlights his long-standing association with the event.

“I love this event and the history behind it,” Daly said when the announcement was made. “Getting the chance to return to Indianapolis Motor Speedway with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing means the world to me. We have high expectations for the No. 23 team, and our goal is simple—we want to win the race and drink that cold glass of milk in victory lane.”

Strong Indy 500 Experience

Daly’s previous record at the Indianapolis 500 demonstrates solid consistency. Across 12 prior starts, he has achieved five top-ten finishes, including a strong run in 2024 when he drove for Dreyer & Reinbold Racing, starting 29th and finishing tenth after leading 22 laps.

Although Daly will also serve as a reserve driver for Juncos Hollinger Racing during the 2026 IndyCar season, the Indianapolis 500 remains his primary focus each year.

The 2026 race will represent the 27th Indianapolis 500 appearance for Dreyer & Reinbold Racing. The team’s connection to the famous speedway spans more than a century, dating back to the 1920s when Floyd “Pop” Dreyer, grandfather of current owner Dennis Reinbold, worked as a mechanic for the renowned Duesenberg racing team.

Since its modern revival, Dreyer & Reinbold Racing has entered 51 cars in the Indianapolis 500, achieving the remarkable distinction that every one of those entries successfully qualified for the race.

Reinbold expressed confidence in the team’s prospects for 2026.

“Conor has shown many times that he can contend for victory at Indianapolis,” Reinbold said. “We were competitive last year, and our ambition this time is to take the next step and reach the winner’s circle.”

Global Partner Support

The programme is backed by Kingspan, a multinational company employing 29,000 people across more than 80 countries and operating 278 manufacturing facilities worldwide. In the United States alone, the company maintains 32 facilities across 17 states.

Company president Alswinn Kieboom said the partnership aligns well with the firm’s emphasis on performance and innovation.

“Working with Conor Daly and Dreyer & Reinbold Racing offers a powerful platform to connect with our customer base while promoting our growth across North America,” Kieboom explained.
