The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced its squad for the upcoming Hong Kong Sixes 2025, scheduled to take place from 7 to 9 November at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground in Hong Kong.
Bangladesh have yet to claim the Hong Kong Sixes title but will be looking to improve on last year’s performance, when they reached the semi-finals, showcasing their potential in the fast-paced, short-format tournament.
Squad and Key Players
The side will be led by wicketkeeper-batsman Akbar Ali, who brings both leadership and experience behind the stumps. Bowling all-rounder Abu Hider Rony, a standout performer in the 2024 edition, returns to strengthen the attack. Aggressive opener Jishan Alam, who scored 152 runs at an average of 76 and claimed six wickets in four matches in last year’s tournament, retains his place, providing a potent mix of batting and bowling prowess.
Other notable inclusions are Mohammad Saifuddin, who picked up three wickets in four games during the previous edition, and Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, a seasoned all-format player with 80 international appearances for Bangladesh, adding experience and depth to the squad.
