Bangladesh national cricketers Taskin Ahmed and Saif Hasan will be turning out for Dhaka Capitals in the upcoming BPL. Both players officially signed contracts with the franchise today.
In last season’s BPL, Taskin impressed while playing for Rajshahi, and Saif represented Rangpur Riders. Ahead of this year’s auction, every team was allowed to secure two local players beforehand, and Dhaka Capitals have taken full advantage by signing both Taskin and Saif.
Meanwhile, opening batsman Tanzid Hasan has joined the new BPL franchise Rajshahi Warriors. Bangladesh Test captain Najmul Hossain is also set to feature for the same team.
The twelfth edition of the BPL is scheduled to begin in the third week of December, with the player auction taking place on 21 November. While recent editions have used a draft system, the BCB is organising a proper auction this year.
