Liverpool Suffer Another Heavy Defeat, Lose 3–0 to Nottingham Forest

Liverpool’s struggles continued on their return from the FIFA international break, as the Reds suffered a 3–0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest at Anfield. The international break is often seen as an opportunity for teams to regroup and recharge, especially for those going through a rough patch, but for Jurgen Klopp’s side, it provided no respite.

The loss follows a similar 3–0 defeat at Manchester City on 9 November, signalling that Liverpool are still far from their best form. This time, the defeat came on their own turf, further highlighting the severity of their current struggles.

The goals for Nottingham Forest were scored by Murilo in the 33rd minute, Niccolò Savona just after the break in the 46th minute, and Gibbs-White sealed the victory in the 78th minute. Nottingham Forest took just 13 shots throughout the match, yet were clinical enough to convert three of them. In contrast, Liverpool managed 20 attempts but failed to score a single goal.

This defeat marks Liverpool’s sixth loss in their last seven Premier League matches. The reigning champions, who had started the season with five consecutive victories, now find themselves 11th in the table with just 18 points from 12 matches.

Nottingham Forest, on the other hand, recorded their third win of the season, rising to 16th place with 12 points. The result underscores Liverpool’s ongoing defensive frailties and attacking inefficiency, raising questions about their ability to reclaim the consistency expected of a title-contending side.
