Arrow McLaren has formally ushered in a new era by opening the doors to the McLaren Racing Center in Indianapolis, a landmark facility that will serve as McLaren Racing’s North American headquarters and a focal point for its ambitions in IndyCar competition.
After several months of anticipation, the unveiling marked the culmination of an intensive transformation project. The building, acquired in June 2025 and formerly home to Andretti Global, has been comprehensively reimagined through a rapid but meticulous renovation programme. The result is a vastly expanded and modernised complex, almost tripling Arrow McLaren’s previous operational footprint and bringing all core functions under one roof.
Among the most striking additions is an immersive lobby designed to showcase the team’s heritage and competitive identity. The second-floor mezzanine has been extended to provide improved collaboration space, while a state-of-the-art fitness and recovery centre underlines the team’s commitment to driver performance and staff wellbeing. Advanced technology suites and upgraded infrastructure further position the facility as one of the most sophisticated team bases in the IndyCar paddock.
Team principal Tony Kanaan described the move as both symbolic and practical, emphasising that the new headquarters provides the space and resources required to sustain growth at the highest level. While the surroundings may be new, Kanaan stressed that the competitive objectives remain unchanged: winning the Indianapolis 500 and mounting a genuine championship challenge. With expectations raised after a strong 2025 campaign, the team believes it has both the personnel and the platform to aim even higher.
The opening ceremony also doubled as a showcase event. Arrow McLaren unveiled the liveries for its three full-time IndyCar entries, to be driven by Pato O’Ward, Christian Lundgaard and Nolan Siegel. The reveal reinforced the sense of momentum surrounding the team as it prepares for the upcoming season.
Kevin Thimjon, President of Arrow McLaren, framed the occasion as a significant milestone in the organisation’s long-term story. He noted that the design ethos of the McLaren Racing Center was intended to reflect the brand’s identity and innovation-led culture, tracing a lineage back to Bruce McLaren’s pioneering vision in 1963. The facility, he added, is not only a working base but also a statement of intent for McLaren’s future in North America.
