The analysis was performed by an organisation named “DreamGF”, which systematically evaluated the facial proportions of competing athletes. The dataset for the research comprised images of the 150 most popular World Cup footballers based on Google search metrics. To construct the ranking, the study utilized the “Golden Ratio”—an ancient mathematical equation globally acknowledged for measuring facial symmetry, structural alignment, and aesthetic proportion.
The computational results revealed that Rodrigo De Paul secured the top position on the list with a mathematical score of 74.18%. He is followed closely by German forward Kai Havertz, who recorded a score of 74.10%. English winger Noni Madueke occupies the third position, having achieved a facial symmetry rating of 73.29%.
The subsequent positions in the top five feature highly competitive margins. Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah ranks fourth with a score of 73.27%, whilst the fifth position is held by Brazil’s young forward Endrick, who scored 73.25%. The captain of South Korea, Son Heung-min, narrowly missed out on a top-five placement by a margin of just 0.01%, finishing sixth with a score of 73.24%.
Commenting on the results of the research, Georgi Dimitrov, the Chief Executive Officer of DreamAI, stated: “The most interesting aspect of this list is that it was not built upon a footballer’s pitch popularity or fanbase. Many major stars of the football world have fallen significantly behind in the list, while Rodrigo De Paul has surprised everyone by taking the top spot.”
The methodology of the study strictly omitted personal style, haircuts, and social media popularity, relying entirely on geometric proportions as the objective framework. Consequently, prominent fashion icons within global football ranked considerably lower than anticipated. France’s Rayan Cherki placed 22nd, followed by Brazil’s Neymar Jr in 23rd place and England’s Jude Bellingham in 24th. Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo, renowned for his meticulous physical conditioning and aesthetic maintenance, finished 45th in the final analytical ranking.
