Ford Motor Company has indicated that it may not finalise its full driver line-up for its highly anticipated 2027 Hypercar programme in the FIA World Endurance Championship until late 2026, as preparations for its return to top-tier endurance racing gather pace.
The American marque, which is developing a new LMDh prototype for competition in both the WEC and IMSA’s GTP class, has so far confirmed three drivers to spearhead its testing and development efforts: Logan Sargeant, Sebastian Priaulx, and Mike Rockenfeller. However, endurance racing’s demanding format—particularly events such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans—requires a significantly larger roster, with at least six race drivers plus reserves.
